The Reel Shorts Virtual Cinema has FOUR feature-length documentaries to enjoy! We have teamed up with Toronto distributor Blue Ice Docs to offer curated online streaming of great feature-length documentaries which are not available to watch on any other streaming platform in Canada. Half of the net proceeds from the on-demand streaming fee of $9.99/film supports the Reel Shorts Film Festival which would have opened on Tuesday, May 5th, but was postponed until April 26 to May 3, 2021 because of COVID-19.

Beyond Moving (10+) presented by PRIMAA (Peace Region Independent Media Arts Association) – an uplifting documentary that follows rising ballet star Siphe (Siphesihle) November on his remarkable journey from his small township in South Africa, where he was discovered as a young boy dancing with his brothers, to his move at age eleven to train at Canada’s National Ballet School. HOW TO STREAM
The first time that you click on any of the STREAM NOW links above which take you to our Virtual Cinema on the Eventive website, you’ll be prompted to set up an account with your email address and password, or to log in. Then click on the “Unlock now” button to pay the $9.99 on-demand streaming fee. After unlocking, you’ll have 7 days to begin watching. Once you click “Watch now”, you’ll have unlimited access for 5 days.
You can stream the films above with any device that’s connected to the Internet. One way to watch on TV is to connect your laptop to your TV with an HDMI cable. You can watch content on PCs running Windows 7+, and Intel-based Macs running macOS 10.12+. You can also watch films on Android tablets and phones using Chrome, and on iPhones and iPads using Safari.
