When Laura’s daughter Eva chooses her German émigré grandfather as the subject of a portraiture assignment in the final year of her art degree, Laura is forced to revisit family secrets about her father’s wartime past that she’d been trying to forget. Should she tell her daughter what her mother had told her about his involvement with the T4 Euthanasia Programme at the Psychiatric Hospital at Hadamar?
