Watu Wote (All of Us)

In December 2015, a bus carrying Muslim and Christian passengers loses its police escort, leaving it vulnerable to a terrorist attack by the Al-Shabaab which has been targeting Kenya for almost a decade. An atmosphere of anxiety and mistrust between Muslims and Christians has been growing, and a woman travelling alone fears what might happen if the terrorists strike again. This is the director’s graduation film from the Master Film Program of Hamburg Media School and her first film based on a true story. Nominated for an Academy Award in 2018 for Best Live Action Short.
