A critical moment shapes the storyline for each of the films in our opening night package that features the Canadian premiere of AETERNITAS, a locally made film that was nominated for six Rosie Awards from AMPIA. Three of the films are Canadian premieres including two comedies from France. There will be a Q&A after the screening with AETERNITAS Writer/Director Gordie Haakstad and other key creatives involved with the film.

PRIMAA and the festival joined forces for the sixth year in a row to offer the Frantic48, a 48-hour film challenge April 12-14. Peace Region teams had 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit their 2-6 minute short films. Join friends, fans, and family for this exciting screening of the Frantic48 films. Audience members will vote for the Audience Choice winner. Awards and announcements take place after the screening followed by an after-party upstairs in the Encore Lounge.
