I’ve watched over 600 short films, travelled to two of the major shorts festivals in North America (CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto and the Palm Springs International ShortFest) and two of the major film festivals in Alberta (Edmonton International Film Festival and Calgary International Film Festival), and watched dozens of submissions, and selected 55 shorts for our regular program. With 6 extra shorts in the two Oscar packages, we present 61 great short films in our 2011 festival. They include a North American premiere, 7 Canadian premieres, and 17 Alberta premieres.
On behalf of the festival team, I’d like to thank these filmmakers for allowing our audiences to see their wonderful films, and I’d like to thank our audiences for coming out to discover some of the world’s best examples of this great art form!
