The 15th Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour runs January 12-14 at the Douglas J. Cardinal Theatre at the GPRC (Grande Prairie Regional College) with a different line-up of films each night at 7:00 pm. Hosted by the Wapiti Nordic Ski Club as one of their major fundraisers of the year, all proceeds go to operational costs and upgrades to the facility and equipment. The opening night has sold out, but there are still tickets available at $25 for Monday or Tuesday night, or $45 for both nights. Tickets are available at the door or at the Crystal Centre Box Office (hours can be found here) or over the phone at 780.538.0387 or online.
For a taste of what’s in store, check out the video below for clips from many of the films that screened at the Banff Mountain Film Festival October 26th to November 3rd and that may be seen during the World Tour stop in Grande Prairie. The line-up of films that will screen each night is always a surprise to the audience and part of the anticipation of this popular event which was, to my knowledge, the first film festival to take place in Grande Prairie. See you there!
